#ECRchat is a global weekly discussion for the early career researcher community via Twitter. The chat is intended mainly for the discussion of post-PhD career issues and we welcome anyone who is interested, who has questions, or who has advice to share.
You can join in every Thursday 11:00-12:00 (BST) on Twitter.
Find out more about #ECRchat at http://ecrchat.wordpress.com/
We hope that postgraduate researchers, research staff, and junior faculty will all benefit from the advice and resources collected here.
We would also love to hear advice and questions from those who have left (or are considering leaving) academia, and from senior faculty, including those who advise PhD students and other Early Career Researchers.
You can find out more background and how to take part in our first blog post.
Each week, there is also a recap of the discussions on the blog. For example take a look at recap of the #ECRchat on ‘Career progression and planning’ which took place on Thursday 26 July.
The next #ECRchat ‘PhDs outside of academia’ will take place on Thursday 2 August 2012.
Looking forward to chatting with you every Thursday!
