The Division of Development and Alumni Relations is pleased to offer you a unique opportunity to attend a free lecture delivered by Professor Brian Cox on Thursday 21 June.
This year Professor Cox will describe his experiences as ‘A Scientist in the Media’; the challenges of bringing physics into the popular mainstream and the importance of making science accessible to all.
This is our most prestigious alumni event of the year – we are expecting around 1400 alumni of the University to attend and would be delighted to have as many staff as possible to represent the University, the Faculties and Schools and to engage with our alumni.
The lecture will be run twice on Thursday 21 June; at 2pm and 7pm. The venue is University Place. There are places still available in the overspill lecture theatre where you will be able to watch a live video stream of Professor Cox’s talk, which will be taking place in an adjoining lecture theatre. If you have any burning questions to ask about the talk you will be able to take part in a Q&A session with Professor Cox and Dame Nancy Rothwell in your theatre.
Following the lectures there will be a reception with light refreshments on the ground floor foyer.
